First, open up a document you want to work on with the Voice Typing feature.
Select Tools > Voice typing to access the voice typing feature. You may also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + S.
A pop-up dialog box with a microphone icon will appear. Click on the microphone icon and start speaking.
You may also choose what language to type in.
Do note that the Voice Type feature will only work if your browser has access to your device’s microphone. Ensure that your microphone is not blocked by your browser’s settings.
The microphone icon will turn red and will start listening to what you say.
There may be a slight delay between recording your speech and the actual typing on the document. A gray ring around the microphone indicates it is currently processing your speech into text.
