Step 1
On your computer, visit the Docs home screen at docs.google.com.

Step 2

Step 3
You can now start writing text on the provided blank page.

Step 4

Step 5
Use your cursor to select certain sections of text.

Once text is selected, you can use the various text formatting options available to you in the toolbar.

For example, you can choose to change the font, font size, and font color to use as well as how the text is aligned in your document.
Step 6
You can also share the document with other users.
Click on the Share button on the top-right corner.

You can choose to add people and groups to the list of people with access. For example, I can type the email sally.smith@sample_email.com to add a collaborator.

I can also choose the level of access they have. They can either be a viewer, a commenter, or an editor.

Alternatively, I can set my document to have General access. This allows anyone with a link to my document to view it.

You can also click on the Copy Link option to copy the URL of the current document to your clipboard.
