In this tutorial, you will learn how to show formula in google sheets.
When working in Google Sheets, it can be hard to know what cells contain formulas and what cells contain only values. This can be especially problematic if you’re trying to edit a spreadsheet made by another user, as it’s easy to inadvertently break formulas if you edit the ranges they rely on. Fortunately, there’s a feature in Google Sheets that allows you to see what cells contain formulas by simply scanning down a sheet. Here’s how to use it:
Step 1
Open the View menu and hover over Show. A menu of items to show or hide will appear, with visible items marked by checkmarks. Click on the Formulas option
Step 2
All cells in your spreadsheet that contain formulas will now display the formula instead of the output value
Step 3
To hide formulas again, simply repeat Step 1. This time you’ll see a checkmark beside the Formulas option to show they are currently visible
Step 4
Note that the Show Formulas option is set per user, so turning it on for on will not affect how other users see the spreadsheet. Because it doesn’t actually change the spreadsheet in any way, this also means view-only users can enable it if they so choose
