Saving as PDF
Here are the steps to follow to save a Google Sheet as a PDF in just a few clicks
Step 1
In the spreadsheet you want to save as PDF, open the File menu and hover over the Download submenu to expand it. Then choose PDF Document (.PDF)
Step 2
In the PDF Print Settings, click the blue Export button in the upper-right corner
Step 3
The PDF file will be saved to your harddrive according to your browser file saving settings
PDF Export Options
If the PDF you downloaded following the above steps doesn’t look quite how you’d hoped, follow the steps below to adjust margins, gridlines and other export options
Step 1
Follow Step 1 above to open the PDF Print Settings, but don’t click Export yet
Step 2
In the settings sidebar, update page layout, scaling and margins options as needed. The preview will adjust as you make each change
Step 3
To hide gridlines from the PDF, click on the Formatting section to expand it, then uncheck the box next to Show Gridlines
Step 4
Under the Headers & Footers section, you can turn on page numbers, Sheet name or other options as needed
Step 5
Once you’re happy with how the PDF Preview looks, click the blue Export button to save the spreadsheet as a PDF
