In this tutorial, you will learn how to move a row in Google Sheets.
If the rows of your Google Sheet are out of order, don’t worry, there’s a simple way to move rows in Google Sheets with just a few clicks.

Moving a Single Row
Step 1
Find the row you want to move and click on the row number to the left of the row to select the row
Step 2
Click and drag on the row number to move the row up or down in the sheet. A wide grey line will move up and down between the rows to show you where the row will go as you move
Step 3
Release the mouse when the grey line is in the right location to move the row to that location
Moving Multiple Rows
You can also move multiple rows at the same time using the same method described above by following these steps
Step 1
Select the first row you want to move by clicking on the row number
Step 2
Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and select the last row. Both selected rows and all rows between will be selected
Step 3
Click and drag on the selected row numbers to move them as described for a single row
