The Dark mode feature is becoming more common among productivity applications, especially since more people are starting to work at night.
While Google Docs does not have a native dark mode on the Desktop, we can add a Dark mode functionality with a browser extension.

How to Use Google Docs in Dark Mode
Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to use google docs in dark mode.
First, open Google Chrome. Visit the Chrome Web Store by using the link https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
In the Search bar, type “Google Docs Dark Mode” and press Enter.
Select your desired add-on and click on Get.
In this example, we’ve chosen the Google Docs Dark Mode add-on from this link.
Once the extension is enabled in your current browser, you should now see Google Docs with Dark Mode enabled.
The extension also allows you to toggle whether you want the document page to have reversed color or not.
Clicking on the button seen below will toggle the dark mode on and off.
