How To Make Flashcards On Google Docs

Flashcards are an easy way to test your knowledge and reinforce your understanding of a topic. They can also be a great tool for learning a new language or studying for an exam.

Google Docs makes it easy to create and share flashcards with others. With a few simple steps, you can make flashcards that you can print out or share online.

In this guide, we will show you how to make flashcards on Google Docs. We will cover how to create a table for our flashcard template and how to add text and images for the flashcard content.

How to Create Flashcards in Google Docs

Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to create flashcards in Google Docs.

Step 1

First, open a blank document in Google Docs. Our goal is to make flashcards that we can use for a preschool class.

Step 2

A simple way to create multiple flashcards in a single page is by inserting a table. Select Insert > Table and use your cursor to indicate the size of the table you want to insert.

In this example, we’ll create a 3×3 table to create 9 flashcards.

Step 3

Right-click on the table and select the Table properties option.

The Table properties panel will be positioned on the right-hand side of the page. We can use this panel to adjust various settings related to our inserted table. In this case, we’ll use the Table properties side panel to adjust the size of our flashcards.

Expand the Row section and check the option “Minimum row height”. Afterward, enter the desired height of your cards. In this example, I’ll set the row height to 2 inches.

Step 4

Next, write down the contents of your flashcards. The contents will depend on your use case, but most flashcards are used for memorization.

In this example, I’ll write down various parts of the body for each flashcard.

Step 5

One way to make flashcards more memorable is by adding visual aids. In my example below, I’ve added drawings to accompany each body part in my set of flashcards.

Step 6

Once you’re satisfied with your flashcards, click File > Print to print your Google Docs flashcard template.
