Flowcharts are an excellent way to organize and visualize data and can be helpful when making decisions and understanding complex processes.
While Google Docs is mainly used for text, the program comes with a powerful Drawing tool that you can use to create your own flowcharts.
In this guide, we will show you how to use this feature to make a flowchart in Google Docs. We’ll also explain how to edit and customize your flowchart to make it look exactly the way you want.How to Insert a Flowchart in Google Docs
Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to insert a flowchart in Google Docs.
First, open the document you want to add a flowchart to.
In the Insert menu, click on Drawing > New to create a new Drawing.
Click on the Shapes icon in the toolbar and click your preferred shape.
For our flowchart, we’ll use a rounded rectangle shape.
Use your cursor to draw the shape on the blank canvas.
Double-click on the shape to convert the shape into a textbox. You can now type labels into your shape.
Click on the Line tool in the toolbar to see the list of possible connectors you can use for your flowchart.
Use your cursor to add lines from one shape to another.
You can also use arrow connectors to indicate direction in your flowchart.
Elbow connectors allow you to create lines with 90-degree angles, providing a more clean look to your flowchart.
Once you are satisfied with your flowchart, click on Save and Close.
The flowchart made in the Drawing tool should now be inserted into your current document.
