How To Make A Chart On Google Docs
One of the most powerful features of Google Sheets is the ability to display your data as a chart. Charts are a great way to visualize data in a meaningful way, and can help people understand your data more clearly and quickly.
However, did you know you can actually add a chart to a Google Docs file? This feature can be useful when creating a report in Google Docs and you have an existing chart in a Google Sheets document.
In this guide, we will show you how to make your own chart in Google Docs
How to Create a Chart in Google Docs
Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to create a chart in google docs.
First, open the document you want to add a chart to.
Click Insert > Chart to see the chart options. You can choose to create a bar chart, column chart, line chart, or pie chart from scratch. Or you can choose to import a chart from an existing document.
If we decide to create a new chart, Google Docs will insert a chart of your chosen style into your document. The new chart will be filled with placeholder data.
Click on the Edit in Sheets option to open the Google Sheets document linked to the inserted chart.
Alternatively, you can click on the Open source option in the dropdown menu seen below.
Users have full customization control over the chart, similar to creating one in Google Sheets.
If you want to insert an existing chart, click on Insert > Chart > From Sheets.
Select the document that contains the chart you want to import.
Next, select the specific chart within that document you want to import.
Afterward, click on Import to add the chart to your Google Docs file.
