How to Format a Booklet in Google Docs
Here’s our step-by-step guide on how to format a booklet in Google Docs.
Step 1
First, open a new blank Google Docs document.

Step 2
We’ll need to adjust the page setup settings to create a proper booklet in Google Docs. We can access these settings by clicking File > Page setup.

Step 3
In the Page setup dialog box, you can modify the paper size you’ll be using for your booklet. You can also adjust the margins of each side of the paper. Click on OK to proceed.

In this example, we’ll choose a paper size of A4 with 1-inch margins on all sides.
Step 4
We’ll reserve the first page of our document as the cover page of our booklet.

Step 5
Insert a page break after formatting your cover page to move your cursor to the next page.

Step 6
Select Insert > Headers and footers > Headers to add an optional header to your document.

Under Options, you can also choose to add page numbers to your booklet.

In the Page numbers dialog box, you can choose to add your page numbers in either the header or footer of your document. You can also indicate what number to start at.

Click on Apply to add the page numbers to your booklet document.

Step 7
Once you’re satisfied with your formatting, click on File > Print to print out your document. You may also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P.

In the Print dialog box, click on Print to send your document to the printer where you wish to have your booklet printed.
