However, there may be times when you want to hide the gridlines in your spreadsheet.

For example, if you are planning to print out your spreadsheet, you may want to hide the gridlines from the final output.

Hiding gridlines can also be helpful if you are working with a large spreadsheet and you want to focus on a specific area.

By hiding the gridlines, you can make the spreadsheet appear less cluttered.

How to Remove Gridlines in Google Sheets

Here’s how to remove gridlines on your spreadsheet in Google Sheets:

In your current sheet, select the View option in the menu.

Under the Show menu, look for the Gridlines option.

By default, this option will be checked. Click on this option to uncheck it.

Your current spreadsheet should now have its gridlines removed.

While gridlines are hidden, you may still choose to add your own cell borders using the Borders tool.

Note that hiding the gridlines in your current sheet will not affect any other sheets in your worksheet.

Creating a new sheet will still have gridlines activated by default.

You must perform the previous steps again if you need to remove them.

You may also choose to remove gridlines for printing purposes.

Click on the File option in the menu.

Select the Print option to open the Print dialog box.

Alternatively, you may choose to open the Print dialog box through the Ctrl + P keyboard shortcut.
