First, select the text you want to format with a hanging indent.
Next, select Format > Align & indent > Indentation options.
Under the Special indent section of the menu, select “Hanging” from the dropdown menu. Specify the number of inches you want the indentation to be. Click on Apply to proceed.
In the example above, we’ve applied a hanging indentation of 0.5 inches to our text.
Your text should now have a hanging indent.
You can also add a hanging indent by dragging the first line indent icon you can find in the ruler to the left.
After releasing the flat blue bar, the selected text will be formatted with a hanging indent.
