In this tutorial, you will learn how to copy graph from Google Sheets.
Google Sheets is a great tool for visualizing data, but sometimes you’ll find you want to copy graphs and charts generated in Google Sheets into another application. For example, if you want to create a presentation or report. Fortunately, Google Sheets makes it easy to download charts and graphs as image files that can be inserted in other applications such as Google Slides, Google Docs, Powerpoint, or Word.
Read on to learn how
Google Sheets graphs can be downloaded quickly with just a few clicks by following these steps:
Select the graph you want to download, then click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner
In the menu that appears, hover over the Download option then choose a file format from the list of options. You can download as an PNG image, a PDF document, or a scalable vector graphics SVG file
Your browser will download the file to your harddrive. From there, you can import it into any application that supports your chosen file format
Changing Graph Size & Resolution
Depending on the size of the graph in the spreadsheet, the exported image file may be lower resolution than you’d like. You can adjust the size of the downloaded image by changing the size of the graph in the spreadsheet before downloading
Here’s how to do this without messing up your spreadsheet:
Select the graph you want to download and copy it by hitting CTRL + C on Windows or CMD + C on Mac
Create a new tab in your spreadsheet by clicking on the plus icon in the lower left corner of the browser window
Go to the new tab and hit CTRL + V on Windows or CMD + V on Mac to paste the graph into the new tab
Select the pasted graph and square blue drag handles will appear in the corners of the graph. Click and drag to enlarge the graph
Download the graph as described above and the image will be higher resolution
