How To Convert Formulas to Values in Google Sheets
Quick Navigation
If you have a lot of formulas in your Google Sheets, you may want to convert them all to values. This can be helpful if you want to share the Sheet with someone who does not need to see the formulas, or if you want to avoid accidental changes to the formulas.
In this guide, we will show you how to convert formulas to values in Google Sheets using the Paste Special option.
How to Replace a Formula Value With Its Result in Google Sheets
Here’s how to replace a formula value with its result in Google Sheets.
Step 1
First, select the cell or cell range that you want to convert to values. Type Ctrl + C to copy these values to your clipboard.

In this example, we will convert the SUM formulas in column C to the actual sum value.
Step 2
Select a new empty cell to place your values. Right-click on the cell and select the Values only option under Paste special.

Step 3
The newly pasted values should now have the actual values instead of the formula.

Instead of pasting your values in a new cell, you can also choose to overwrite the original cell range. This effectively converts the formulas in that cell range into values.
Step 4
You can also find the paste values only option in the Edit menu. Alternatively, you can use the Ctrl+Shift+V keyboard shortcut instead of the usual Ctrl+V shortcut.

Summary
This guide should be everything you need to convert formulas to values in Google Sheets.
