In this tutorial, you will learn how to capitalize in google sheets.
Although Google Sheets is better known for its mathematical formulas, the platform also comes with a number of functions that modify text values instead of numbers. One such formula is the formula for capitalizing text. Capitalization is a useful tool for drawing attention to specific text and making it easier to notice and read at a distance. The UPPER() function in Google Sheets makes it very easy to capitalize any text. Just follow these steps:
Step 1
Select a cell and type the following formula: “=UPPER(A2)”, where A2 is the reference for the cell you want to capitalize
Step 2
Hit enter and the capitalized text will appear
Step 3
The UPPER() function works for all standard letters in the Roman Alphabet, as well as characters with diacritics like é, ã, or ö.
