Here’s how to create a drop-down list in Google Sheets that only include Yes and No as options.
Step 1
First, select the range of cells where you want to add a drop-down list with a Yes/No option.
In this example, we’ll add data validation to the range B2:B8.

Next, select the Data validation option found under the Data menu.

In the Data validation dialog pop-up, we can select what criteria to consider when accepting or rejecting input. Under the Criteria drop-down menu, select the List of items option.

The List of items option allows the user to specify what values will show in the cell’s drop-down list. Each value should be separated by a comma.
We can add a Yes/No drop-down menu by typing “Yes,No” into the provided textbox. Click on Save to apply the data validation to the selected range.
Step 5
Users should now be able to click on the drop-down arrow to reveal the Yes and No options. This method makes it easier for users to fill out the form as well as prevent incorrect input such as misspellings.
If the user provides input that is not ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, Google Sheets will show an error indicating that the input is invalid.
