Step 1
First, click on the Font dropdown menu in the toolbar and click on More fonts.

You now have access to a menu where you can search for different Google fonts to use in your document.
You can also choose to show fonts of a specific style. For example, you can filter for only serif or sans serif fonts.
You can also display fonts sorted by popularity, alphabetically by font name, or by date added. You can also choose to see which fonts are currently trending.

If you already know the name of the font to add, you can search for it in the provided search bar.
Click on OK to add the font to your document.

The font should now appear in the Recent section of the Font dropdown menu.
