It’s compatible with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and is used extensively in many industries and academia because of its compatibility with existing file types, tie-ins with other Google products, and collaboration features
Knowing how to use Google Sheets in is very valuable in the workplace, so if you’re interested in getting started but don’t know how to access Google Sheets, here’s a simple guide to get you started
Signing In/Signing Up
In order to access Google Sheets, you will need to be logged into a Google account. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in when you follow the steps below. If you do not already have a Google account, you can click on Create Account and go through the account signup process. Standard Google accounts are free and give you access to the entire Google Docs line of software, as well as your own Gmail email address
Access Google Sheets From a Computer
Google Sheets can be accessed in a number of ways:
Google Sheets can be accessed directly in any modern web browser. Just navigate to sheets.google.com. Any spreadsheets you already have under that account will be displayed on the Google Sheets home page, along with buttons to create new spreadsheets from templates or a blank spreadsheet
You can also locate existing spreadsheets and create new ones inside Google Drive, which is an online storage platform by Google. Navigate to drive.google.com in your browser to access Google Drive. From there you can click on New and choose Google Sheets to create a new spreadsheet, or use the search bar to locate existing files
Access Google Sheets From a Mobile Device
You can access Google Sheets using an Android or Apple phone or tablet using the Google Sheets apps

After installing the Google Sheets App, open the app on your device to access Google Spreadsheets
Google Spreadsheets that are already in your account will display on the app’s home screen, or you can use the plus button in the lower right corner to add a new spreadsheet
